Dr. Niranjan, known affectionately as "Dr. Niri" to his patients, is a highly experienced and respected family doctor who has been serving the Kallangur communit

Dr. Niranjan, known affectionately as "Dr. Niri" to his patients, is a highly experienced and respected family doctor who has been serving the Kallangur community for over 18 years. He has been a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2009.  He is widely is known for his compassionate and patient-centered approach to medicine.

In addition to his work as a GP, Dr. Niranjan holds the title of Senior Lecturer at the prestigious University of Queensland. He is a highly-regarded medical educator and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of doctors. He is involved in teaching medical students.

Dr. Niranjan has a wide range of interests and expertise in all aspects of family medicine, and is particularly skilled in the areas of occupational medicine and skin cancer detection and management. He has completed  training in these areas, including a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery and a Certificate in Clinical Occupational Medicine from Monash University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Niranjan has been committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients.

Dr Niranjan is fluent in English,Kannada and Hindi.

Dr. Tamana is a highly trained and experienced GP who received her medical degree from the prestigious University College London Medical School in 2008. She has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since 2014 and of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2015.

With a keen interest and experience in all aspects of general practice, Dr. Tamana has also undergone specific training in family, sexual, and reproductive health ( IUD insertions and removals), earning her diploma in 2013. Her particular areas of interest include women's and children’s health, chronic disease management, and skin cancer medicine and surgery. She has completed Healthcert courses in these fields and is able to perform iron infusions as well.

Dr. Tamana is fluent in English, Russian, Dari, Urdu, Persian/Farsi, and Hindi, which allows her to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds. She is also actively involved in teaching medical students, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Throughout her career, Dr. Tamana has built a reputation as a caring and compassionate doctor who is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to her patients. He became a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2020 and achieved his fellowship in 2022, solidifying his expertise in the field.

Dr. Alex brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, with a particular focus on chronic disease management, women's and men's health, children's health, and skin cancer medicine and surgery.  Dr Nilusha Arachchige is a warm, compassionate, and highly experienced General Practitioner who has been caring for patients across Australia for over 18 years. For more than eight of those years, she has been a dedicated healthcare provider right here within the Redcliffe Peninsula community.

Dr Arachchige has substantial experience working across a broad range of general practice areas, with a strong focus on:

  • Women’s Health: Menopause management, sexual health, pre-conception counselling, early pregnancy care, and postnatal care.
  • Chronic Disease Management & Care Planning: Including comprehensive care for diabetes, asthma, COPD, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension.
  • Mental Health: Management of depression and anxiety, and the preparation of Mental Health Care Plans.
  • Preventive Health & General Medicine: Preventive health assessments, weight management, internal medicine, and travel medicine.

 We are excited to announce that our new female GP-Dr Nilusha joins us from 6 May. To better serve you, Brewer Street Medical Centre is also extending our weekday hours. Starting 6 May, we will open at 7:30 am Monday to Friday. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
